Dear Sir,
Recently i am using ac drive for an application. Now we are converting the same with servo drive, how to choose the servo motor capacity.
Motor details,
                  1 hp, 3 phase 220V
Please give me the details regarding the above.

dharmaraj,

Here's how I would do it the quick and dirty way...
1 hp = 746 W, approx.
Most servo manufacturers list rated power in Watts for their motors, so start with a servo motor around 750 W.
Note the speed you're running your AC motor at now and make sure this falls in line with rated speed of the servo motor.  Also check the rotor inertias of the AC motor versus the servo motor.  If there's more than a 2:1 difference, find a servo motor with a larger rotor inertia that falls closer in line with your AC motor.

For a more accurate sizing use VisualSizer to model your application - including load and move profile - and use the 750 W motor above as your starting point for the motor in the model.

Regards,
